Climatic conditions in Waush are healthy and comfortable. Winter has abundant snow for activities, summer, although short, is often hot and sunny. Mean summer temperatures are 21 - 22 C; winter days are an exhilarating -30 C. The average annual snowfall is 366 cm (12 feet)
Wabush Industrial Park
The Wabush Industrial Park is owned and operated by the Town of Wabush and is located on a three mile stretch of highway connecting Labrador City and Wabush.A main rail line and airport are adjacent to the park. The Trans-Labrador Highway is nearby. The park is zoned for light, medium and heavy industry and is the headquarters for a number of contracting and supply distribution companies. |

Wabush Winter Fun Week (March , 2009)
Held mid March of each year, starting on Wednesday with the Wabush Volunteer Fire Dept. serving hot dogs and hot chocolate at the opening bon fire and ending on Sunday with sliding and bonfire/weiner roast on Water Tower Hill. In between there will be lots of family fun, so dress up warm, get out and enjoy yourself.
